Les monnaies allobroges de la collection Müller

Gisèle Gentric, Jean-Claude Richard Ralite

Résumé

Hippolyte Müller (1865-1933) was the first director of the Musée Dauphinois in
Grenoble, created by himself in 1906. He collected an important numismatic collection that we
studied in 1985, before the sale of his collection by Henri Müller, his son. Among the few 1600
coins in this collection, numerous coins are from treasures found in Allobrogian territory, especially
the type with bust horse and the type with rider. These coins have been published and this
communication takes stock of our thoughts on these issues: types , transmitter power , dating.
