La ceca de Fez en un Semidinar o Cuarto de Dobla de ´Abd Al Mu´men Ibn´Ali (524-558H/1129-1162)

In this work we publish an unpublished Almohad half dinar or quarter dobla, with the
mint name Fez on side IA with side IIA of the Caliph Abd Al Mumen Ibn ́Ali . 524-558H/1129-
1162 A.D. The book Monedas de las Dinastías Arábigo -Espaðolas (1893) by Antonio Vives only
mentions one type of this Caliph without a mint name , catalogue number 2060, and in the book of
Harry W. Hazard there are two references, numbers 467 and 468. Until now no half dinars or
quarter doblas have been reported with a mint name. This would be the first known example.
